The Las Vegas Raiders are at training camp now. On Tuesday, we got to hear from head coach Antonio Pierce, the day before things started to get wild. It's the first time we have talked to Antonio Pierce since OTAs, but, nothing has really changed. The Raiders will have everyone at camp. The rookies have been at camp for a few days now, but the veterans are still in Las Vegas and will fly into Southern California on Wednesday to report for camp.

Training camp is where the real work gets started. It's where the team starts their 2024 season, because now, every week, they will have football. The pads aren't on yet, and won't be till next week, but this is where the real work begins.

It's also where we will find out who the starting quarterback will be for Week 1 of the 2024 season. We have heard that both QBs have had good and bad days this offseason, so it's really hard to tell what's going to happen, or when it will happen.

On Tuesday, Pierce was asked if there was any timeline for making the decision.

"When it's right, when it's obvious," Antonio Pierce said at the introductory presser to training camp in Costa Mesa, California.

The Raiders have two quarterbacks who are capable of winning games, as we have seen. But, you have to love the approach that Pierce is taking with this. What's the rush?

"Where it was when we left spring," Pierce said when asked where the QB room stands. "We have some more practice to go at it tbh. I don't think it's fair to do that [rank the QBs]."

"Zero. The best player to help the Raiders is all that matters," Pierce continued when asked if Gardner Minshew had the advantage because of experience.

With Minshew, he started some great games last year as well, and was basically in the same boat, as he also got the Indianapolis Colts close to the playoffs.

Last season, rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell was thrust into the starting role when Pierce took over. He played fine at times but also had his fair share of mistakes, such as the bad game he played against the Miami Dolphins in Week 11, which saw him throw three interceptions. The Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day can also be mentioned, as O'Connell only did not complete a single pass after the first quarter.

The Raiders certainly have options. And, don't forget to keep an eye on the battle for the third quarterback spot . But, as far as starters go, they didn't get their rookie QB. But, they do have two guys who have shown they can win games.
