Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark received major praise from the WNBA community when she posted her All-Star game recap on social media.

While many WNBA players commented on Clark's post, Gabbie Marshall, her former Iowa teammate, sent a simple note that received over 1,200 likes.

Marshall shared her true feelings on the Fever rookie after Clark posted a few All-Star game photos with the caption "First WNBA All-Star."

    "You're so awesome," Marshall said.

She was joined by Aliyah Boston, Jada Gyamfi, Sabrina Ionescu, Kate Martin, Lexie Hull, and Dearica Hamby as a few women's basketball figures who sent Clark a message.

There's clearly a strong relationship between Clark and Marshall, with the former Hawkeye constantly reposting the Fever star's accolades throughout the year.

Mar 31, 2023; Dallas, TX, USA; Iowa Hawkeyes guard Gabbie Marshall (24) hugs guard Caitlin Clark (22) prior to the game against the South Carolina Gamecocks in semifinals of the women's Final Four of the 2023 NCAA Tournament at American Airlines Center.

Clark and Marshall played four seasons at Iowa together from 2020-24. They were both vital pieces of a Hawkeyes squad that finished the last two seasons as the NCAA tournament final runner-ups.

As Marshall explained, the Fever guard has been quite awesome in her first year in Indiana. She currently averages 17.1 points and 8.2 assists per game, leading the league in average assists.

The 22-year-old star has been able to showcase her versatility, proving to be one of the best playmakers in the WNBA.

During her time with the Hawkeyes, Clark was seen as the most prolific scorer in the NCAA, but she was also extremely underrated in other aspects of the game.

She finished her college career averaging 28.4 points, 8.2 assists, and 7.1 rebounds per game.

Clark has been a tremendous addition to the WNBA, helping boost its viewership, ticket sales, and much more.

The WNBA All-Star game on July 20 may have been the rookies' first, but it doesn't seem like it will be the last.
