Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel Drops Important Update On Tua Tagovailoa

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel will continue to monitor the contract situation for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Training camp has begun, and many fans are curious as to how much the Dolphins' offensive leader is approaching his level of involvement in practice.

McDaniel told reporters that Tagovailoa is expected to participate similarly to how he did during OTAs. He did individual drills and 7-on-7 drills, but not any 11-on-11 drills. Tagovailoa has dealt with myriad injuries throughout his four-year NFL career, so him taking it lightly until the regular season wouldn't be the worst thing.

"It’s important to acknowledge Tua is in the process of contract negotiations and it’s fluid," McDaniel said on Wednesday.

By the looks of it, Tagovailoa will happily be present at training camp for the duration. That said, there seems to be plenty of financials to sort out for the front office, and whether or not they fully trust the 26-year-old QB as their franchise cornerstone.
