Fifteen-time major champion Tiger Woods ' damaged leg was on display for the first time since a near-death car accident.

Woods, 48, was seen wearing shorts without his usual right leg sleeve, exposing scars sustained in the near-deadly car crash that took place in February 2021 while he supported his son, Charlie , at the U.S. Junior Amateur this week. The legendary golfer underwent multiple surgeries on the injuries suffered in the single-vehicle accident, which included open fractures to both his tibia and fibula bones.

Woods said he won't compete in a tournament until the Hero World Challenge, an unofficial event he hosts in the Bahamas, on December 5-8, and will also play alongside his son, Charlie , in the PNC Championship, another unofficial event in Orlando, Florida, on December 19-22, after missing the cut at the 152nd Open Championship last Friday (July 19), finishing 14-over 156 through two rounds.

The 48-year-old has missed the cut or withdrawn in six of his past seven major events and finished the British Open with his worst score to par after the first two rounds in 23 starts at the tournament, with his previous worst coming during a 9-over performance through 36 holes at St. Andrews in 2022. Woods, widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential golfers of all-time ranks second all-time behind only Jack Nicklaus (18) in career majors and has 82 PGA Tour victories, tied with Sam Snead for the most all-time.
