Rich Eisen Turns Heads Naming NFL's Top 5 Sleeper Teams, Surprise Playoff Prediction

The 2024 NFL season doesn't kick off until early September. However, it's not too early for popular sports analyst, Rich Eisen, to make some predictions. During his latest episode of The Rich Eisen Show , Eisen named his top five sleeper teams for the 2024 season along with a surprising playoff prediction.

Eisen prefaced the qualifications for his sleeper picks. First, it must be a team that isn't getting much attention from the national media. Second, the team has to have missed the playoffs last season.

With those qualifications in mind, Rich Eisen begins to go down his list of sleeper teams for the 2024 NFL season. He also names a bonus team he believes will make a serious run in the playoffs. He chooses the Las Vegas Raiders, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Commanders, and Tennessee Titans as his sleeper teams. Eisen then predicts the Chicago Bears will surprisingly appear at the NFC Conference Championship.

"My number one sleeper team for this year is that team that everybody thinks is going to lose to their team in the win-loss game. I'm going [with the] Tennessee Titans."

The Titans being No. 1 on Rich Eisen's top five sleeper teams is notable. Especially considering this franchise is being massively slept on by most fans across the league. That's despite numerous big moves the organization has made this offseason in the attempts to improve.

Tennessee has made improvements to the offensive line after selecting JC Latham in the 2024 NFL Draft and signing veteran center Lloyd Cushenberry. They also hired Bill Callahan, who is highly regarded as one of, if not, the best offensive line coach in the world. Mix in additions to the secondary and wide receiver room and this team looks substantially different than recent years.

Rich Eisen's playoff prediction for the Bears is noteworthy too. Chicago hasn't made a playoff appearance since 2020. They also haven't won a Super Bowl since 1986. The front office has changed the roster a ton over recent years and expectations are high after selecting Caleb Williams No. 1 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.

This is arguably the most talent this Bears team has had since their last Super Bowl appearance in 2006. However, it's a young and unproven team. Chicago may have some learning curves to start the season but they are certainly a team to watch with how much talent is on the roster.
