Add Tua Tagovailoa to the top quarterbacks whose training camp activity will be limited due to a contractual situation.

As the Miami Dolphins continued to settle into camp at the Baptist Health Training Complex on Wednesday, head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Tagovailoa will only participate in some activities as he awaits a new deal.

McDaniel called the situation “fluid” and “day-to-day.”

NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe added that Tagovailoa will compete in individual drills and 7-on-7 activities, but not 11-on-11.

The 26-year-old is currently set to play the 2024 season on the fifth and final year of his rookie deal, worth $23.17 million.

However, the Pro Bowler is seeking a big-time raise — hoping to vault among the highest-paid players in the sport, joining the likes of Trevor Lawrence (five years, $275 million), Joe Burrow (five years, $275 million) and Jared Goff (four years, $212 million).

Tagovailoa was phenomenal in his fourth season in Miami, playing in all 17 games for the first time in his career while leading the NFL with 4,624 passing yards.

The former fifth overall pick also ranked fourth among quarterbacks in expected points added per play and fourth in completion percentage over expected.

Tagovailoa isn’t the only 2020 first-rounder to have his practice schedule altered due to wanting an exorbitant extension.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that Packers quarterback Jordan Love won’t practice altogether until he receives a new deal.

Indeed, between Tagovailoa, Love and Cowboys star Dak Prescott, a bit of a staredown is brewing to see which domino will fall first in terms of the NFL’s next top salaries.

Meanwhile, Dallas receiver CeeDee Lamb and Jets edge rusher Haason Reddick are among the other notable names to formally hold out of camp because of financial disputes.

With Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, the Dolphins finished 11-6 but and their high-flying offense was paralyzed in a wild-card loss to the Chiefs in frigid Kansas City conditions.

On the heels of two straight postseason appearances but wild-card round losses, Miami seeks its first playoff win since 2000.
