Caitlin Clark has earned the respect, admiration and friendship of her Indiana Fever teammates midway through her rookie season in the WNBA.

Clark and the Fever have a month-long midseason break as Team USA goes to Paris to compete in the Olympic Games — and the WNBA's No. 1 overall pick is enjoying some much-needed vacation time with Indiana teammate Lexie Hull.

Hull recently revealed that Clark is joining her on a vacation to Mexico before the WNBA season resumes in mid August.

Hull, a third-year WNBA pro, made her opinion of Clark very clear.

“She’s a great person and a great player. It’s fun to get to know her outside of the court, outside of basketball,” Hull said in a recent interview with The Spokesman-Review . “She’s actually coming to Mexico with me. It’ll be a fun getaway for us.”

Though Hull's playing time has taken as serious hit since Clark's arrival this season, she's still an integral part of the Fever's team and culture.

“She’s just consistent with her effort. She’s always just active,” head coach Christie Sides said of Hull. “That’s a trait of hers that is so good in basketball. She just never stops. She’s going to get deflections. She’s going to get steals. She’s going to draw the best defender and she’s just consistent with her role. I know she didn’t get the playing time that she wanted earlier (in the season), but she just kept working and kept working. And then when her number was called, she’s just been really big for us.”

Clark, Hull and the Fever will resume their 2024 WNBA season with a matchup against the Phoenix Mercury on August 16.
