The 2024 Paris Summer Olympics are set to begin this week with 32 sports being broadcast across several channels worldwide including NBC, Peacock, the BBC and more.

One of the most famous Olympic broadcasters of all-time is Al Michaels, who famously called the United States' February 22, 1980 'Miracle On Ice' victory over the Soviet Union with his call of "Do you believe in miracles — Yes!" during which he essentially answered his own question.

On Tuesday, it was announced that a digital, artificial intelligence created version of Michaels will lend the famous broadcaster's voice to NBC Universal Group's Peacock Network's coverage of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

The feature, titled "Your Daily Olympic Recap on Peacock" will allow viewers to create their own highlight packages by picking sports they would like to see in advance.

Each personal highlights package will be narrated by an artificial intelligence based version of Michaels' famous voice.

Michaels gave the project his blessing after hearing how it sounded.

"When I was approached about this, I was skeptical but obviously curious," Michaels said. "Then I saw a demonstration detailing what they had in mind. I said, 'I'm in.'"
