Philipsburg, Pa. — An unconscious woman awoke and attacked two responding EMS personnel who found her lying on the sidewalk, police said.

Ashlee Nicole Emigh, 36, allegedly held a metal doorknob and bracket as she shouted threats toward the two victims, Trooper Spencer Luciano said. Both objects were located at the scene by police, Luciano added.

Troopers spoke with Emigh, who said she broke the door to her apartment, according to the complaint. A background check showed Emigh had several active warrants in Clearfield County, Luciano wrote in his report.

Emigh began to resist as troopers tried to take her into custody, Luciano said. She allegedly stepped away and became argumentative with authorities. Emigh continued to resist as she was placed into the cruiser, Luciano added. He noted Emigh caused a “significant disturbance” during the arrest.

Troopers interviewed both EMS workers at the scene. They told similar stories of Emigh coming at them with the bracket and doorknob, according to Luciano.

Emigh is being charged with simple assault, harassment, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. She is scheduled to appear for a preliminary arraignment at the beginning of August. No bail is listed for Emigh.
