As expected, Caitlin Clark's first WNBA All-Star Game shattered previous TV viewership records.

On Tuesday, ESPN and the WNBA announced the final viewership numbers for Saturday night's matchup between Team WNBA and Team USA.

The game finished with an average audience of 3.4 million viewers — up 305% from last year's WNBA All-Star Game. This figure marks the 3rd most-watched WNBA event of all time. The event peaked at 4.1 million viewers.

"RECORDS BREAKING DAILY.  Shoutout to the best hoops fans in the world," the WNBA wrote on X in response to these numbers.

The vast majority of this spike in viewership can be attributed to "The Caitlin Clark Effect." Since her arrival in the WNBA as the Indiana Fever's No. 1 overall pick, Clark has shattered TV viewership and attendance records at ever turn.

12 regular-season WNBA games have exceeded 1 million viewers so far this season. 11 of those games featured Clark and the Fever.

Indiana will resume its 2024 WNBA schedule with a matchup against the Phoenix Mercury on August 16.
