More showers to drop heavy rain

Headline: Additional showers expected until weekend. We continue in a very unstable environment. This will produce daily afternoon thundershowers around region and that will continue through Saturday. There is a possibility of 3 to 5 inch rain totals.

What we are tracking: The heat dome, which has been out west for the past few weeks will be moving back over Texas over the weekend. As a result the rain chance will be decreasing by the weekend and the hot and steamy weather will return to Texas for next week.

Extended Outlook: You can expect with additional showers until the weekend. Some storms will drop heavy rain. By the weekend end showers will decrease. And for next week,  look for that old heat a humidity.
