    Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect in Prince George, Dinwiddie

    PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Wakefield has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning which effects parts of the Richmond Region.

    According to NWS, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect in Prince George County, Dinwiddie County, Sussex County, Brunswick County, Greensville County and Southampton County until 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24.

    Wind gusts with speeds of up to 60 miles per hour are possible in the affected areas and damage to trees and powerlines is expected.

    Residents of the affected areas are asked to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building if possible.
