BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office announced it will take a hiatus from the popular REELZ television show, On Patrol: Live.

Berkeley County deputies have been featured on the show since the premiere on July 22, 2022.

Berkeley County was one of two departments that have been on the show since the first episode.

“We made the difficult decision to pause our appearance on On: Patrol Live, and my hope is that after the summer the show will welcome us back,” Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis stated.

“We truly enjoy working with the OPL team, and being a part of the series offers an opportunity for civilians to have a look into the daily operations of patrol deputies and some specialized units. We appreciate all the love and support we have gotten from citizens in regard to the show,” he continued.

Lewis didn’t say what prompted the hiatus; however, he said he looks forward to the opportunity to be a part of the show in the future.
