    Photos: These 16 high school graduates are receiving Junior Livestock Sale scholarships

    At the end of this year's Junior Livestock Sale at the Wayne County Fair, 412 scholarships totaling $571,433 will have been awarded using funds from the sales, according to Orley White, who chairs the Scholarship Committee and is on the board of the Junior Livestock Sale.

    Here are the 16 scholarship recipients for 2024. They will each receive $2,300.

    Benedict J. Bateman is a member of Waymart Horizons Club. He plans to attend either Belmont Abbey College or Ave Maria University.

    Caleb Bryant , a Calkins Ag Club member, is enlisting in the United States Air Force.

    Ayden Connolly , a member of Waymart Horizons, plans to attend Johnson College.

    Aurora Dutton is a member of the Maple Line 4-H Club. She will be attending Penn State University.

    Emily Eccles plans to continue her own business, raising hogs and selling pork on the family farm. She is a member of Pleasant Mount Go-Getters.

    Miranda Grossman is a member of Cherry Ridge 4-H Club. She has been accepted to West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

    Brooke Kellogg is a member of Pleasant Mount Go-Getters 4-H Club. She will be attending Johnson College.

    Carter Kennedy , a member of Tri-Gal 4-H Club, has been accepted to Penn State University.

    Rozlyn Maciejewski is a member of Calkins Ag 4-H Club. She will attend Temple University.

    Peter Modrovsky will be attending DeSales University. He is a member of Tri-Gal 4-H Club.

    Elyse Montgomery is a member of the Calkins Ag 4-H Club and has been accepted at the University of Scranton.

    Weston Nugent , a member of Waymart Horizons, plans to attend Johnson College, majoring in diesel truck technology.

    Matthew Reed is a member of Creamton 4-H Club. He plans to attend Lackawanna College.

    Drew Rutledge is a member of Bethany 4-H Club and will continue his education online.

    Sarah Spinelli will be attending Penn State University. She is a member of Pleasant Mount Go-Getters.

    Karleigh Weist is a member of Explorers 4-H Club. She will be attending Kings College.
