The two men who were last seen with Jay Slater before his tragic death, have finally addressed the situation on camera , insisting it was a mere accident amid the family's autopsy report grief .

Ayub Qassim, a convicted drug dealer and his mate known as Rocky, decided to answer the flurry of questions surrounding the UK teenager's sudden disappearance and dispel the theories circulating about it .

Last night, Ayub, while addressing the crowd on a live YouTube broadcast stated: "If I'm guilty then arrest me then, what are you on about? When you're telling the truth you don't slip up."

Recall both of them were among the last individuals to be spotted with the 19-year-old lad before he vanished on the 17th of June after retiring to a remote village in Masca with them from attending a party at Papagayo nightclub in Playa de las Americas.

Jay disappeared that evening after exiting the Airbnb accommodation causing a huge four-week-long search. Heartbreakingly, on July 15, Jay's body was discovered .

Spanish officials concluded that the teenager succumbed to severe multiple injuries consistent with a fall from the mountainous region.

Qassim and Rocky who were initially questioned by local police in relation to the young lad's mysterious disappearance were subsequently considered "irrelevant" and allowed to return back to the UK without any charges.

In a new development, both individuals have come out on social media to provide answers regarding the case. While doing so, they also responded to several other queries brought forth by spectators during the live session which included questions like the whereabouts of the missing Rolex, Jay showing signs of fear and rumours of the teen carrying around two knives.

Qassim claimed how no one was "taken" home, they went voluntarily. He said: "Took him home? No one took no-one bro. He invited himself. Think bro, use your head."

Feeling perturbed by the whole incident, he shared: "How am I feeling after this? It's mental mate, it's actually mad. Do you know what I'm saying, it's actually mental man."

When questioned if he was physically violent towards Jay, he retorted: "No, of course not. Mate, what do you reckon happened to him? He had a tragic accident, you know what it's like. Taking it out that way. The kid didn't have his funeral, have a bit of respect."

Regarding the alleged theft, he clarified; "No one took my watch, bro. Why the ---- would I invite someone who took my watch back to mine so they can sleep on the sofa, what are you on about? Bro, don't you help people, do you know what I'm saying."

Jay, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancs, was on vaction with friends Lucy Mae Law, 18 and Brad Hargreaves.

Qassim appealed to give them their space. He said: "Everyone needs some peace, like, leave Lucy alone, cos, to be fair, Lucy was the first one at my yard saying 'yo, like, I'm looking for him, where is he? People do love their drama."

He confirmed he knew the group from Lancashire: "Yeah, of course, I did, how else would I be around like? We were doing our own things, we weren't out together, cos I don't listen to that music it's not my thing."

When asked about Jay's fear upon leaving their flat, Qassim responded: "I don't know why he was scared and he ain't here to answer that question. I don't want to say, people could be going through something in their own heads, who knows, do you know what i'm saying?

"Yeah I offered him a lift back, but obviously when I wake up, cos you've got to remember we came back at 6.30, 6.40 in the morning like. And I only slept for an hour before I had to move my car.

"Bro I'm not driving another half an hour and all of this one hour away, bro, I was in a Cupra estate, zooming the road like, it's not an hour away, it's half an hour."

He also defended his past, stating: "And everyone's calling me a dealer, I was 19, I'm 30 now. Everyone asking why was he scared, bro I don't know why he was scared bro, stop asking me, you're asking the wrong guy. I've got videos on my phone where me and him are videoing Rocky in the car where Rocky's sleeping on the front. We're just laughing at him, you know what I'm saying.

"He was calm, it was a vibe like, we were just bossing jokes, all of this scared and all of that, is like, what you on about scared?"

When questioned again about the missing watch, he retorted: "I don't know whose watch went missing. You know furthermore, what watch is it? Question for you guys cos you're all talking about this watch. What colour is it, what type is it, you tell me."

His family has been in Tenerife for the past month, throughout the search and now as they wait to bring his body home. A GoFundMe appeal has raised over £70,000, with mum Debbie Duncan asked for more donations, explaining that the cash would be used for the repatriation of her son's body, as well as covering the costs of his funeral.
