Raiders' Maxx Crosby makes sacrifice to stay locked-in at training camp

Part of the reason the Las Vegas Raiders moved their training camp to Costa Mesa, California, was to help with team bonding and to make sure that everyone was locked-in and avoiding distractions ahead of the 2024 campaign.

And as you'd expect, star edge rusher Maxx Crosby is going the extra mile to do just that. After the first training camp practice on Wednesday, Crosby revealed that he's reading and watching movies and television shows in his spare time, but he didn't bring his Xbox with him.

"I didn't bring my Xbox out, so we're not doing any of that," Crosby said. "No NCAA (College Football 25), so just locked-in and keeping my mind sharp."

    What a sacrifice!

EA Sports' College Football 25 has been all the rage since it was released earlier this month, so it's easy to see why Crosby wants to avoid it, as it could lead to some late nights with the boys.

Knowing Crosby's dedication to his craft and the team in general, playing some video games wouldn't put a dent in his work. But it just goes to show how much he wants to avoid any kind of distractions in preparation for a season in which the Raiders have playoff aspirations.

Crosby is coming off his best season as a pro, and he's primed for even bigger things in 2024 now that the Raiders added some more help next to him in the form of defensive lineman Christian Wilkins.
