EAU CLAIRE (WKBT) -- A majority of county roads in Eau Claire County are now open for ATV/UTV traffic.

Per a post from the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office Thursday, ATV/UTV travel is allowed on most county roads unless posted otherwise. This only applies to county roads; local township roads may have differing rules.

Eau Claire County ordinance requires ATV/UTV's to travel on the pavement and furthest to the right of the roadway. There is also a speed limit of 35 MPH, unless the posted speed limit is lower.
