Ross Chastain to make IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge debut in 2024

Ross Chastain may not be racing in NASCAR until mid-August due to the Olympic break; however, it won’t stop him from getting behind the wheel. Chastain will make his IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge debut with Skip Barber Racing at Road America next month. The Trackhouse Racing driver will pilot the No. 16 car before NASCAR returns from its break.

“I am really looking forward to racing with Skip Barber at Road America,” Chastain said. “I have been a customer of Skip Barber Racing School, and to now race with their IMSA team makes total sense. Dan and Anthony DeMonte run the premier racing school in the country so hopefully I can have a good showing for them during one of our NASCAR off-weekends. I always appreciate the additional track time.”

This is a great opportunity for Chastain as it will allow him to continue racing in some capacity over the almost three-week break. NASCAR has four races left in the regular season, and the driver of the No. 1 car only sits seven points above the cut line. Chastain hopes it will help knock the rust off as he enjoys his time in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.
