Dak Prescott Receives Major Criticism From Former All-Pro

Just about every NFL analyst has an explanation why Dak Prescott hasn't performed better in the postseason with the Dallas Cowboys. On Thursday, former All-Pro running back LeSean McCoy gave the latest scorching hot take on the Cowboys signal caller.

During an appearance on Up & Adams , McCoy essentially argued Prescott doesn't have the drive to be a champion.

"I don't think he's tough enough," McCoy told host Kay Adams. "When everybody is playing at an elite level, it's the playoffs, small margin for error, we need our best, to be the best. Andy Reid always says this, he always says in big games, 'I need my best players to outperform their best players.'

"In the playoffs, [Dak] doesn't do that. He freezes up. I don't want to say it's a lack of heart, but sometimes he plays like he don't have that dawg in him. Some players do, some players don't. He's one of them that doesn't."

Prescott has experienced a lot of success during the regular season. He's led the Cowboys to four double-digit win campaigns during his 8-year career, and in two of his other seasons, he missed at least five games because of injury.

Last season, Prescott finished second for the NFL MVP award and made second-team All-Pro.

Yet, Prescott owns a 2-5 career record in the postseason. In January, his Cowboys were the first No. 2 seed to lose in the wild card round since the NFL expanded to the 14-team playoff format.

Not only did the Cowboys lose to the seventh-seeded Green Bay Packers, they suffered an embarrassing 48-32 home defeat. At one point, the Cowboys trailed in the game by 32 points.

In seven career playoff games, Prescott has thrown 14 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Against the Packers, he tossed two picks, one of which was returned for a touchdown.
