The New York Jets aren't budging on their position with edge rusher Haason Reddick, as the team seems to have accepted he will not be arriving at training camp soon.

The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt reported Thursday that the Jets have placed Reddick on the reserve/did not report list. The Jets also signed quarterback Ben Bryant to replace Reddick on the team's active roster.

The Philadelphia Eagles allowed Reddick to seek a trade this offseason since they were not willing to offer him a contract extension. The Jets acquired Reddick in April for a conditional third-round pick.

The Jets, though, have reportedly not offered Reddick an extension either.

However, SNY's Connor Hughes reported the Jets did offer Reddick a raise from the $14.5 million he is scheduled to make this year. Reddick declined the offer.

But according to Hughes, the two sides worked out an agreement for Reddick to potentially earn an extension during the season. Part of the agreement, though, was for the edge rusher to attend the team's offseason program and training camp.

"Reddick then skipped OTAs, minicamp & training camp," Hughes wrote on X (formerly Twitter). "The Jets are not willing to negotiate anything until he shows up."

Every day Reddick doesn't attend training camp, he will be fined $50,000 .

Reddick has reached at least 11 sacks in each of the past four years. He made second-team All-Pro with 16 sacks and a league-leading 5 forced fumbles in 2022.
