DES MOINES, Iowa (KCAU) — LifeServe has announced that they will be hosting two blood drives in Sioux City in early August.

According to LifeServe, physicians refer to summertime as trauma season. During this time, the need for blood rises. Simply put, “the need for blood doesn’t take a summer break.”

LifeServe said that someone is in need of a transfusion every two seconds.

To meet this need, LifeServe is hosting two blood drives in Sioux City during the first week of August.
