Kevin Durant and Anthony Edwards Video from Team USA Practice Goes Viral

USA Basketball has arrived in Paris for the 2024 Olympics. Going a perfect 5-0 in their Showcase Games, Team USA enters the Olympic Games in good form.

Hosting a team practice on Thursday, Team USA got on the court together for the first time in Paris. Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant was a participant in practice, which is a good sign for the two-time Finals MVP that has been sidelined with a calf injury.

A video from Team USA practice has surfaced that shows Durant giving advice to Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards. The footage has gone viral on social media, as NBA fans view it as a passing of the torch moment:

Edwards and the Timberwolves swept Durant and the Suns in the opening round of the 2024 Western Conference Playoffs. Having been open about Durant being his favorite player growing up, Edwards spoke in April on how cool it was being able to compete against him in the postseason:

Now USA Basketball teammates, Durant and Edwards will look to win a gold medal for their country before going back to being opponents next NBA season. This Team USA roster is loaded with talent, as Durant projects to slide into the starting lineup upon his return from injury, which will move somebody to the bench.

Edwards has been coming off the bench for Team USA, but has been one of their most dynamic offensive weapons throughout the Showcase Games. It will be interesting to see what Steve Kerr does with his rotation once Durant returns.
