One of the perks of being a rock star is being able to request ridiculous things on your rider when you're on tour. During a recent visit to the Dish podcast , Josh Homme revealed the strangest thing he's ever put on his tour rider while on the road with Queens of the Stone Age .

“I always say that elitism sucks, when I’m not included,” he joked with hosts Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett after being asked what he likes to request on tour. “I think over the years, one of the things that keeps you young, other than injections, is to have a good sense of humor. So, as the years have gone on, and we had access to more and more outrageous requests being honored, it starts to make you ask for strange things.”

“For a while, I used to ask for chocolate-covered ants and a map of Ireland to be put on the wall," he continued. "People would ask me, ‘Josh, why do you have chocolate-covered ants and a framed map of Ireland?’ and I would say, ‘Wouldn’t you like to know, mind your damn business.’”

From the sounds of it, Homme's liked to see what he could get away with more than making serious demands for weird stuff. The interview took place before QOTSA were forced to cancel European tour dates so Homme could go back to the United States for "emergency surgery."
