Manchester United may be keeping a close eye on transfer matters at Juventus , with an impending sale possibly having a knock-on effect at Old Trafford regarding the future of Jadon Sancho .

Juventus is one of the teams to have been credited with an interest in Sancho over the summer. But before being in a position to make any big signings in the transfer window, the Old Lady have been looking to cash in on one of their growing talents.

There has been somewhat of a saga surrounding the future of Matias Soule. The 21-year-old shone while on loan with Frosinone last season, despite the team's relegation from Serie A.

His performances led to a transfer race for his signature, once it was established that Juventus would be willing to let him leave. Leicester City and Roma have been the two clubs battling it out for the young Argentine.

Various reports in Italy claim that both sides have made offers, but the player preferred to stay in Serie A and play for Roma, while Juventus would prefer him to move to the Premier League with Leicester. It seems that the player's will may have won.

It's believed Soule is close to moving to Roma for a fee of €30 million (£32.5 million), including add-ons. If that deal does go through, then it frees up cash for Juventus to move for its own targets, including Sancho, before the end of the window.

The former England man is now back with United after spending the second half of the season on loan with Borussia Dortmund. He made the switch to the German team in January following a public disagreement with manager Erik ten Hag.

Since then, there have been discussions to clear the air and Sancho is now part of the United squad for its pre-season tour of the USA. United is asking for a fee of £40 million ($51.4 million) if it decides to sell this summer. Whether Juventus would be willing to spend that amount remains to be seen.

Liverpool.com says: Sancho leaving United could be for the best. He's struggled to make an impact during his three seasons at Old Trafford, spending the second half of last term on loan in Germany. And there aren't many bigger clubs than Juventus.
