TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Back to school time is upon us, and this time of the year can be financially challenging for some family’s.

That’s why the “court appointed special advocates” or CASA, is holding a back to school drive. However, this year they’re not asking for the normal back-to-school items.

CASA is asking for items such as tissues, disinfectant wipes, band-aids, water bottles, and other items that are used consistently throughout the year.  Drop off locations will be at the Vigo County Annex Building and the courthouse.

Vigo County CASA Director Glenna Cheeseman said she’s excited to help the kids get ready for school.

“This is just the fun part for us too is helping the kids get back to school on the right track. And going to school fully ready to go to learn and to just do what they need to be, and be the best that they can be when they’re at school, without having to worry about all those things.”

CASA will be accepting donations until August 2.
