Simone Biles went viral on Thursday after she pulled off one of the most difficult vault moves in gymnastics, the Yurchenko double pike. Sure enough, it got everyone buzzing, with a media outlet even giving the legendary Olympian a new nickname.

During USA's podium practice, Biles executed her Yurchenko double pike vault flawlessly. After reaching some incredible height in the air, she landed on the mat perfectly--without the need to even take another step to lock the landing.

Even one of Biles' coaches, Cécile Canqueteau-Landi, called it "perfect" and said, "We’ll take this one in a heartbeat. It was really good,” via The Guardian.

NBC Sports shared a video of Biles' podium training along with a new nickname for her, calling the greatest gymnast of all time, "Air Simone."

It's a great reference to NBA icon Michael Jordan, who was called "Air Jordan" for his extraordinary leaping ability. Not to mention that MJ is also largely considered the GOAT.

Since Biles is also considered the greatest in her sport, it seems fitting that she also gets another nickname reserved for the greats. Much like Jordan, she dominates the air in her own unique way.

Sure enough, it will be exciting to see Biles perform the Yurchenko double pike in the 2024 Olympics.
