Fans Make Opinion of Simone Biles & Team USA's Olympic Leotards Extremely Clear

Gymnast Simone Biles and her teammates, Jade Carey, Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, and Hezly Rivera, practiced at the Bercy Arena in Paris before the start of 2024 Olympics.

Videos of their podium training went viral on social media, especially Biles' insanely difficult vault, as she perfectly stuck the landing of her Yurchenko double pike. While fans applauded the women's performances, they also gushed over their gorgeous leotards.

Biles and Co. wore the "Sovereign Sparkle" leotard. Designed by GK Elite, the leotard pays tribute to Eiffel Tower and City of Light. However, these are not the leotards Team USA will wear during the Olympic team final, which left the bulk of fans incredibly disappointed.

One fan complained on X, "why would they waste this on podium training," while another person wrote , "This leo deserves better than podium training - just my opinion. She’s stunning." One woman posted , "This is my favorite. Disappointed they are not competing in it."

While gymnasts can wear a leotard of their own choosing for the individual competition, they are required to match for the team event. For the first time in USA Gymnastics history, the leotards chosen for the women's national team were revealed weeks before the Olympic games began.

Covered in thousands of Swarovski crystals, "The collection draws inspiration from classic American patriotism and old Hollywood glamour while blending sophisticated Parisian high fashion and sparkling light to pay homage to the host city,” GK Elite said in a statement to TODAY .

While fans largely prefer the navy leotards over the red-white-and-blue design, they also agree the women look beautiful in both.

Retired Olympics commentator Kathy Johnson Clarke posted , "Dear Team USA, These leotards are as stunning as your gymnastics, and your spirits during podium training made them come alive like fireworks! Fly high, have fun, and know you are loved and admired by so many out here hoping and cheering you on! Trust. Believe. Go."

One fan replied , "They are gorgeous!! I was kinda disappointed they used this fabulous outfit for training was hoping we would see it in team competition as it was one of my faves! But ur right- they look amazing!!"
