A number of the 2024 WNBA rookie class have already signed major shoe deals since entering the league. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark signed a huge contract with Nike, and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese joined Reebok.

On Thursday, another top rookie from the class signed a major shoe deal.

Los Angeles Sparks forward Rickea Jackson revealed that she has signed with Skechers, becoming the first WNBA player ever to sign a deal with that company. She will join the likes of Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid as a Skechers athlete.

Jackson has signed a multi-year deal, according to Boardroom. For her first official Skechers campaign, she unveiled the SKX Nexus basketball sneaker, which is set to launch in 2025.

“Being the first WNBA player to join the Skechers roster is an incredible feeling. The brand is a rising star in the sports world,” Jackson said after her new deal.

Jackson spent her last two seasons in college with the Tennessee Volunteers. She went on to be the fourth overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

In 23 games this season, Jackson has averaged 11.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists. She has stepped up in the absence of fellow Sparks rookie Cameron Brink, who will miss the rest of the season because of an ACL tear.
