California motorcyclist in critical condition after he hits a curb, flips bike several times

On Friday, July 26, at approximately 6:18 a.m., Santa Rosa Police, Fire, and medical personnel responded to a solo motorcycle collision at Fountaingrove and Parker Hill Road, police said. Witnesses reported that the motorcycle, heading west on Fountaingrove, lost control just after passing Parker Hill, hitting the curb and flipping multiple times before stopping near the sidewalk, according to police.

The rider, found unresponsive at the scene, was transported to a local trauma center with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition, Santa Rosa Police stated. Initial witness reports suggested the driver may have been driving erratically, though his speed at the time of the collision is unknown, police added.

An SRPD Collision Investigator and Evidence Technicians are handling the investigation. The rider's identity is being withheld pending family notifications. Fountaingrove remained open during the investigation, police stated.
