Here’s a quick roundup of the latest news, drops and collaborations from leading denim brands.

    American Eagle

Coco Gauff, US Open champion and the Team U.S. female flag-bearer for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, stars in American Eagle’s (AE) new campaign called “Live Your Life.”

Showcasing fall denim staples like barrel, baggy and stovepipe jeans, the campaign is intended to “encourage today’s generation to enjoy the world around them through optimism, culture and connection,” AE stated.

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and actors Kristine Froseth and Nikki Rodriguez star in the campaign as well. The campaign includes TikTok and Instagram content, launched Thursday and immersive experiences, billboards and video projects in the U.S.

Gauff’s partnership with AE will continue next month with the launch Coco Gauff x American Eagle, a collection featuring three tops, a denim skirt, jeans and a denim jacket with her iconic quote, “Thank you to the people who didn’t believe in me.”

    Kody Philips

Ohio-based Kody Philips, known for his bold, innovative designs, re-released the Curve jean, a signature style that previously sold out.

Like the ongoing barrel jean trend, the Curve jean get its unique shape from a slight curve on the outseam and delicate taper on the ankle. The updated version has a higher rise to “ensure a comfortable and flattering fit.”

Compared to the previous drop, the new jean comes in more subtle and versatile washes, including in blue, jet black and dirty black.

The Curve jean is available now on the brand’s website and retails for $205.

    American Rag Cie

Celebrating its 40 th anniversary, Los Angeles denim institution American Rag Cie relaunched the house label, AR321.

Describing the relaunch as a “labor of love” in a blog post, American Rag founder Mark Werts said the collection draws inspiration from traveling the world, exploring diverse cultures and experiencing different styles.

Werts partnered with designer Alfredo Settimio to develop the “Made in L.A.” line of timeless and versatile denim and used sustainable fabrics throughout. Highlights include raw denim jeans made with Cone Denim fabric, a Western shirt and regular chino available in several colorways.

“Our vision for AR321 is simple: to create something that speaks to the modern consumer’s need for both style and substance. AR321 is about versatility, sustainability, and, most importantly, individuality. Each piece is designed to be a canvas for your personal expression,” he stated.
