Details Emerge On Raiders Rookie's Kermit Mockery Of Patrick Mahomes

The Las Vegas Raiders caused quite a stir on Thursday when they seemingly planned a whole puppet mockery of Patrick Mahomes. Except that isn't exactly what happened.

A video of Raiders rookie safety Trey Taylor making fun of Mahomes went completely viral on social media. Taylor and the Raiders as a whole received a ton of backlash from fans and even Mahomes himself .

However, the Mahomes mockery wasn't actually as team-wide as initially thought. According to a report from The Athletic's Tashan Reed, it was actually a Raiders fan named Josh Jacopetti who brought the puppet to training camp.

Jacopetti had asked Taylor to hold the puppet. The voices that appeared to be Taylor's "Raiders teammates" making fun of Mahomes in the background were actually Jacopetti and other fans.

One of Jacoppeti's companions was the one who recorded and eventually uploaded the video on X. The original post has since been deleted, but copies of the clip have spread like wildfire online.

While the Raiders as a whole weren't in on the joke, Taylor did still end up making fun of Mahomes. That part is undeniable and may be enough for Mahomes to bring his A-game when their teams face off in October.
