Simone Biles Has One Word To Describe Frustrations With The Olympics

Team USA gymnastics legend Simone Biles is truly looking to shock the world in this year's Paris Olympics.
She had already been the talk of social media over the past couple of days, and the gymnastics portion of the games hadn't even started yet. On Thursday, she pulled off a flawless Yurchenko double pike vault during practice, which is a move so difficult that it is rarely attempted by any gymnast, male or female. It is also one of the numerous moves that is named after her.
On Friday, it was revealed that she had submitted an original skill on the uneven bars, which will end up being the sixth move named after her if she can pull it off. A move that would help her make history, as she'd become the only active gymnast to have an eponymous skill for all four events.
However, aside from having to deal with the pressure of trying to win gold, fend off gymnasts gunning for her top spot, and whatever other pressures that come with being a legend of a sport, Biles and the rest of the Olympic athletes are dealing with some tough living conditions that could affect performance.

While these athletes from all over the world train their whole lives to prepare for this moment, it may be difficult to prepare oneself for the infamous cardboard beds. Athletes have taken to social media to express disappointment in their sleep situation, with many in disbelief that as the best athletes in the world, they are forced to sleep on makeshift beds. Something that Biles actually addressed while commenting on a TikTok video , saying that the beds "sucks". She did also reveal that she is hoping that when they receive a mattress topper, it will hopefully help increase the comfortability.
Tennis superstar Coco Gauff also commented on the matter, providing a bit of insight as to whether or not all athletes sleep on the beds.
"Steams do stay in hotels! but your own kind of federation in your sport will have to pay for that (I think). some of my teammates are in a hotel. I chose to stay in village for the experience," wrote Gauff.
Biles isn't the only athlete to take to social media to express dissatisfaction with the bed situation either, as countless athletes have posted videos of the beds with some even expressing how uncomfortable they are.
The women's gymnastics qualification round will begin on Sunday, July 28 as Biles and Team USA look to bring back the gold.
