Backstage News On Beth Phoenix’s WWE Contract Status

Following Adam Copeland’s AEW debut at WrestleDream, the former WWE star would be asked during the post-show media scrum whether his wife, Beth Phoenix, would be joining him. Yet, while Copeland couldn’t confirm this, he would say, “ I love being around her ,” seemingly indicating he would be open to it. And it now appears there is a genuine possibility of this happening, as PWInsider.com has reported Phoenix is no longer contracted to WWE.

43-year-old Phoenix is nowadays best known for being Copeland’s wife, although she was a top WWE in-ring performer herself between 2006 and 2012. During that time, she won the WWE Women’s Championship three times and the Divas Championship once, which led to her being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017.

She would then come out of retirement in 2019 and occasionally teamed up with Natalya before joining NXT as a commentator later that year. However, despite being a natural behind the announce desk, she would give up this spot to focus on her family commitments while wrestling a couple of mixed tag team matches alongside her husband.
