Multiple Vehicles Involved in Chain-Reaction Crash on 101 Freeway in Encino

ENCINO, LOS ANGELES, July 26 (KNN) — A chain-reaction crash involved multiple vehicles along with some injuries on the 101 Freeway early Friday morning in the area of Encino.

Traffic came to a standstill as California Highway Patrol officers worked to clear the wrecked vehicles and debris from the collision scattered in lanes.

CHP West Valley units responded to reports shortly after 12 a.m. of a vehicle rollover with one party ejected on the southbound 101 just east of Balboa Boulevard.

When units arrived on scene, they located several vehicles involved in a chain-reaction crash. No parties were found to have been ejected per initial reports.

At least two patients were transported to the hospital in unknown conditions.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
