The Toledo Mud Hens limited the Louisville Bats to four hits in a 7-4 win on Friday at Fifth Third Field.

Toledo (46-53) used four pitchers in Thursday’s 4-0 win, a combined three-hitter, and on Friday needed only three pitchers to shut down Louisville (49-49), which scored all its runs in the ninth inning.

Starter Brant Hurter (2-4) yielded the first hit, a sixth-inning double by Erik Gonzalez, in seven innings with six strikeouts to no walks. Hurter totaled 77 pitches, with 58 thrown for strikes.

Garrett Hill worked 1⅓ innings of relief, giving up the four runs — three on Levi Jordan’s bases-clearing double — on two hits and three walks. Austin Schulfer gave up an RBI single to Tony Kemp, but retired the final two batters via strikeout.

Offensively for Toledo, Jace Jung hit his 14th home run in the third inning, plating three, while Dillon Dingler hit his 17th home run, a two-run shot, in the seventh inning. Jung finished 1 for 2 with two walks and four RBIs.

Akil Baddoo was 2 for 3 with two doubles and two runs scored, and Dingler was 2 for 5. Stephen Scott had an RBI groundout in the sixth inning.

Louisville starter Julian Aguiar lasted five innings and allowed four hits, including the Jung home run, and two walks to four strikeouts.

Neither team has named a starter for the 7:05 p.m. Saturday matchup at Fifth Third Field. Toledo has won the first four games in the series.
