    Witness sought after vehicle strikes cyclist in Summit County

    SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah ( ABC4 ) — A vehicle struck a cyclist in Summit County Friday morning, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office . Authorities are seeking a witness of the collision.

    At around 9:15 a.m. on July 26, a car struck a cyclist on SR-32 near milepost 21 in Peoa.

    Officials said another driver in the oncoming lane witnessed the crash and stopped to check on the injured cyclist. The witness reportedly left, however, without leaving his contact information with anyone.

    “The Summit County Attorney’s Office is interested in speaking with this witness and asks the public for any information that could help identify him,” the sheriff’s office posted on social media . “The witness was driving a tan or gold mid-sized pickup truck. If you think you may have any helpful information, please contact Chief Investigator Travis Hopper at 435-321-3618.”
