Anthony Edwards is the star shooting guard of the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Team USA basketball team set to begin its Olympic schedule on Sunday at 11:15 a.m. ET vs. Nikola Jokic and the Serbian national team.

On Friday, Edwards was spotted making a confident boast to another United States Olympics team as Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry looked on.

"The match up we didn't know we needed," the Team USA account on X wrote as Edwards was videotaped discussing whether he could compete against the USA table tennis team in their sport, otherwise known as ping pong.

Someone off-camera, possibly Curry, could be heard stating that Edwards would lose 21-0 in a game against a member of the U.S. national team.

That's when Edwards shared a boast that sounded confident but actually showed reverence to the U.S. team's impressive skills.

"I'm not having it. Eleven to zero? I'm scoring one point," Edwards confidently boasted.

A member of the U.S. table tennis team responded, saying, "there's more than one way to do that," to which Edwards replied that he was ready and willing to play at any time.
