Following the 2024 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders inked a bunch of undrafted free agents, with Furman offensive lineman Jacob Johanning being among them.

But what separated Johanning from most of the rest of those UDFAs was his contract, which saw the former FCS All-American and Furman product receive a whopping $105,000 guaranteed and a $25,000 signing bonus in his three-year, $2.85 million contract , showing the Raiders thought highly of him.

Unfortunately, Johanning won't get to show why the Raiders were high on him, as the team recently waived the rookie with an injury designation before he reverted back to injured reserve, which will end his rookie season before it had a chance to start.

According to Tristen Kuhn of TWSN , Johanning suffered a lower-body injury, although the specifics of it remain unclear.

Johanning wasn't expected to grab a significant role in his first season, but with some question marks the Raiders have behind their starting group, he had a shot to get a roster spot. At the very least, he likely would've ended up on the practice squad.

Over five years at Furman, Johanning appeared in 42 games, making starts at both left and right guard. He was also voted a team co-captain in 2023.
