Police say stabbing at BOK Center was self defense

A man is in critical condition after being stabbed outside of the BOK Center on July 27 around 10 a.m.

Witnesses called 911 and reported two men fighting in the street.

Surveillance video shows the two men pass each other before the stabbing victim put down some bags and his backpack and began to follow the suspect.

Investigators say the stabbing victim then hit the suspect in the face, starting a fight during which the suspect stabbed the victim.

Police questioned the suspect and released him pending further investigation. At this time, TPD believes the stabbing was in self-defense.
