LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A father and son from Ohio are facing criminal charges after what law enforcement called an “apparent road rage incident” outside London on Friday.

According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), it happened on Friday afternoon while deputies were at the scene of an unrelated traffic stop when a “commotion” was heard, leading the authorities to the area of Adams Road and KY 770, about 10 miles south of London.

According to a news release, when deputies reached the area where the yelling came from, 26-year-old Jacob Harness was seen getting out of his car and running toward a truck driver. He then grabbed the truck driver by his shirt and allegedly threw him on the ground.

According to LCSO, 53-year-old James Harness got out of his car in the same area “directly in front” of Jacob’s car at around the same time the truck driver was allegedly thrown to the ground. James got a gun out of the trunk of his car and ran toward the fight between his son and the truck driver before deputies said he “fired numerous shots in the vicinity” of passersby.
