NBA Legend Shaquille O'Neal Makes His Opinion Of Rudy Gobert Unmistakably Clear

NBA icon Shaquille O'Neal didn't hold back his thoughts about Rudy Gobert following the Frenchman's performance in the 2024 Olympics.
On Saturday, Gobert and France started their gold medal bid in the Olympics when they faced Brazil in the group stage. The home team did get the win, 78-66, but it wasn't easy as the Brazilians started off hot and took a 25-13 lead in the first quarter.
Victor Wembanyama and Nicolas Batum led the way for France, each scoring 19 points. The former even stuffed the stat sheet with nine rebounds, two assists, four steals and three blocks.
As for Gobert, however, he was ineffective in the 18 minutes that he played. He recorded just seven points, three rebounds, one assist and two blocks.

While France won, O'Neal couldn't help but troll Gobert for his performance. While the former Los Angeles Lakers star didn't write anything, the fact that he shared a meme about Gobert speaks volumes about what he feels toward the big man.
On his Instagram Stories, Shaq posted an edited photo of a store worker with Gobert's face on it. The caption of the photo reads, "Rudy Gobert if he wasn't 7'1"."
The meme suggests that Rudy Gobert wouldn't be a professional basketball player if he wasn't gifted with height. This implies that the Minnesota Timberwolves big man lacks basketball skills.
Shaquille O'Neal has been one of Gobert's biggest critics, previously calling him overpaid and an overrated defender. Sure enough, his latest take on the Timberwolves star is quite harsh, considering that Gobert is a four-time Defensive Player of the Year.
