Olympics TV schedule today: Here's every sport happening Sunday at 2024 Paris Games and how to watch

Fewer than 48 hours after the Olympic flame was lit, the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are heating up.

On Sunday, the second full day of competition following Friday’s opening ceremony, there’s a packed schedule of Olympic sports, some of which are already entering their finals.

For American viewers, the day is likely highlighted by a pair of team competitions.

The United States men’s basketball team will begin its quest for its fifth-consecutive gold medal with a group stage game Sunday against Serbia, led by reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic. The Americans defeated Serbia 105-79 in an exhibition on July 17 in Abu Dhabi.

About two hours later, the U.S. men’s soccer team will take on New Zealand in its Olympic opener. Unlike its female counterpart — which features the best players available, regardless of age — the USMNT, like all other national teams in the Olympics, can only have players under 23 years old, with three permitted exceptions.
