Aaron Rodgers, Garrett Wilson Blowing Up Online After Heated Training Camp Argument

There aren't many players who would openly challenge four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers. But New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson is apparently one of them.

Video from the stands at Jets training camp practice on Saturday captured Rodgers and Wilson in a heated argument along the sidelines. Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III reposted the video, which received more than 500,000 views in the first six hours after its posting.

Griffin argued, though, that the argument wasn't a bad thing.

"Aaron Rodgers and Garrett Wilson got in a heated discussion during practice?!? GOOD," Griffin wrote as a caption to the video. "Teammates have to be willing to challenge each other to find greatness.

"This is leadership from 2 guys that have Super Bowl on their mind and want it right now. I LOVE THIS."

The narration over the video said that before the argument between Rodgers and Wilson, the wide receiver had a heated discussion with fellow wideout Allen Lazard, who was Rodgers' teammate with the Green Bay Packers. But that wasn't shown on the video.

Regardless of how it started, the good news for Jets fans is that Rodgers and Wilson shook hands at the end of the video.

Rodgers, Wilson, and the Jets face high expectations for the 2024 season, and in the summer heat, it can be natural for tensions to rise.

It will be interesting to see how the relationship between Rodgers and Wilson continues to develop this fall.
