    Public Records: Fairfield County restaurant inspections

    The following are restaurant inspections with critical violations, as conducted by the Fairfield County Health Department from July 15-19.

    July 15

    Rippling Stream Campground, 3640 Reynoldsburg Baltimore Road NW, Baltimore. The person in charge (PIC) is unable to demonstrate knowledge by having no critical violations. There is no air gap on the prep sink, only an air break.

    Rippling Stream Truck, 3640 Reynoldsburg Baltimore Road NW, Baltimore. Employees are not informed in a verifiable manner of their responsibility to report information about their health.

    Little Treasures Learning Academy, 7889 Refugee Road, Pickerington. Two bags of Tyson frozen chicken were thawing in the handwashing sink.

    Amanda Dream, 145 E. Main St., Amanda. There were farm eggs with no labeling in reused containers. Raw shell eggs were stored above ready-to-eat foods. Milk was date marked July 3.

    Spades, 104 E. Main St., Amanda. Observed tomatoes and lettuce without date marking.

    Subway, 100 E. Main St., Amanda. The mop sink hose is stored so that there is no air gap between the flood rim and water supply inlet.

    Pickerington Moose Lodge #2321, 3640 Reynoldsburg Baltimore Road NW, Baltimore. The ice box that ice is stored in for easy access to the bartenders, has small amounts of black residues on walls.

    July 16

    Small Wonders Learning Center, 4485 Carroll Cemetery Road, Carroll. Opened milk in the refrigerator that was not date-marked.

    New Life Christian Center, 2642 Columbus Lancaster Road, Lancaster. Observed ants in the kitchen around the three-compartment sink.

    Subway, 200 W. Broad St., Bremen. There was no air gap on the prep sink.

    The Duchess Shoppe Lancaster #1214, 189 E. Sixth Ave., Lancaster. There was a brown residue in the ice shoot on the soda machine. A bottle of pump cleaner was stored above the beverages.

    July 17

    Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers #749, 1934 N. Memorial Drive, Lancaster. Observed employee working with raw chicken, taking off gloves and replacing them without washing hands first.

    July 18

    Community Transition Center, 151 E. Hubert Ave., Lancaster. Observed items out of date in the vending machine.

    Speedway #9773, 508 N. Memorial Drive, Lancaster. There was residue in the ice shoot on the soda machine. Observed milk with an expiration date of July 15.

    Anchor Hocking DC-Front, 2893 W. Fair Ave., Lancaster. Observed one food item that was expired, but remained in the vending machine.

    Diamond Power-IK, 2600 E. Main St., Lancaster. Observed items in the vending machine out of date.

    Diamond Power - Main Break, 2600 E. Main St., Lancaster. Observed food items out of date in the vending machine.

    July 19

    Sugar Crossing Convenience Store, 2049 Horns Mill Road, Lancaster. Observed unlabeled farm eggs from an unlicensed farm. Observed milk with an expiration date of June 27.

    Stoutsville Mini Mart, 11387 Main St., Stoutsville. There was a brown residue in the ice shoot on the soda machine.  Pizza sauce was date marked June 26.

    Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar, 1615 River Valley Circle N., Lancaster. The dishwasher is not reaching a maximum temperature of 140 F.
