When it comes to the Olympics it is safe to say that there are certainly a lot of non-traditional sports that many fans learn about along the way.

Notable sports like badminton, breaking, surfing, skateboarding, and climbing all stand out as being unique at the 2024 Paris Games. However, even though these athletes are the best from across the world, it seems fans often find themselves thinking that they'd be able to give a certain sport a go.

Something that NBA star and first-time Olympian Anthony Edwards is no exception to, as he has already formed a couple of fun rivalries and neither are on the basketball court. It started with him challenging the ping pong team, and as of Sunday, he has now been called out by an Olympic swimmer. When he was asked what non-basketball event he could beat the rest of the hoopers in, Edwards felt that he would dominate in swimming.

A sentiment that led to him getting called out by Phoebe Bacon, who is competing in the 200-meter backstroke.

Bacon challenged the Minnesota Timberwolves star to a race in the 50-meter freestyle, which would put Edwards to the test. While he started off his athletic career as a football player before focusing on basketball, Edwards is notorious for being as confident as ever in other sports as well.

Fans would certainly love to see him put his skills to the test, but first, he will be needed by Team USA to help win their fifth gold medal in a row. He and Team USA are set to play their first game of the tournament against Serbia on Sunday.
