One dead, another in hospital after Chesterfield shooting

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one dead and sent another to the hospital on Sunday.

According to a statement, at around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 28, police responded to a report of a shooting at the 700 block of Boulder Springs Drive. Upon arrival, they located a man and a woman that had both been shot. The man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The initial investigation indicated that the shooting was between the two individuals found on the scene and no other people were involved.
