Ulster, Pa. — A woman who accused troopers of using drugs and sexually assaulting her at the state police barracks was sentenced to jail following convictions on several criminal cases.

Melissa Danielle Hall, 37, currently residing in the Bradford County jail, was recently sentenced to 6-23 months in jail, followed by two years of probation. Hall was convicted for several cases, including resisting arrest, making false reports to law enforcement, and possession of a drug paraphernalia.

Hall was first charged with trespassing and related offenses in Sheshequin Township. Trp. Matthew Mondak filed the charges following his investigation in August of 2023.

Hall was charged by State Police Cpl. Brandon Allis that same month for making a false report, stemming from a manufactured story about state police troopers using drugs at the barracks and sexually assaulting her when she was originally taken into custody. Hall later admitted under oath that she lied and the story was not true.

When Hall was taken to the Bradford County jail on the above charges, correctional officers discovered a syringe hidden on Hall's person during a strip search. The syringe contained a liquid that Hall told officers, "could be meth, or it could be heroin." Hall was then charged and convicted of possessing paraphernalia.

In another case, Hall entered the Bradford County sheriff's office in February of 2024 to check on papers she previously filed there. Hall was apparently unaware that a bench warrant for her arrest had been issued for her failure to appear for a court proceeding related to the above.

When confronted by deputies, rather than consent to the arrest and processing, Hall struggled with deputies and resisted arrest, both in the lobby of the sheriff's department and on her way to the transport vehicle outside. This resulted in a conviction for resisting arrest. Deputy James Hart filed the charges that led to this conviction.

Hall is presently housed at the Bradford County Correctional Facility awaiting trial on an additional trespassing charge for an incident in May of 2024. Hall is accused of entering a residence in Sheshequin Township without permission. That case is set for trial in September.
