USA Basketball opened the Paris Olympics with a win over Serbia on Sunday. Getting Kevin Durant back from injury after the Phoenix Suns star did not play in any of the Showcase Games, Team USA was able to take down three-time MVP Nikola Jokic.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James turned in an all-around performance in the win, finishing with 21 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds, but it was the return of Durant that stole the show.

Durant was dominant in his return to the court, finishing with 23 points on 8/9 from the field and a perfect 5/5 from three-point range. Durant entered halftime with 21 points on a perfect 8/8 from the field which had the basketball world buzzing.

As Durant entered halftime with 21 points, some wondered if he would challenge Carmelo Anthony's USA Basketball record of 37 points in 2012, but Team USA did not need that from him in this one.

Anthony's highlights from that 37-point performance against Nigeria were posted on X with a caption that included a nod to WNBA legend Lisa Leslie's women's record of 35 points vs. Japan in 1996. This post did not include any highlights from Leslie's big game, which the WNBA legend made sure to call out on X:

While Leslie took issue with her highlights not being shared, she also had a laugh about it. The WNBA legend should certainly see her USA Basketball highlights resurface when the women's team takes on Japan in their Olympic opener on Monday.
