NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – For the second time in two months, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham went on national TV, speaking on issues surrounding New Mexico and some national topics.

The governor last went on CBS’s “Face the Nation” in June. At that time, she spoke on extreme weather, much like the wildfires and flooding that had been ravaging through the Ruidoso and Las Vegas areas. She also spoke on the southern border.

On Sunday, the governor returned to Face of the Nation, speaking on the southern border again. The governor also spoke on a potential vice president pick for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. One reported pick is Arizona Democratic Senator Mark Kelly, who the governor spoke highly of, stopping just short of an official endorsement.

The governor now turns her attention to hosting town hall meetings in Albuquerque and Española over the next few days, where she will hear issues New Mexicans have on public safety.
