NCAA women's basketball star Hailey Van Lith received a new nickname on social media following the surfacing of a video of her at the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony.

In the video, Van Lith can be seen wearing the Team USA uniform, a red, white, and blue suit sponsored by Polo. She showed off her outfit and waved the American flag, showing her pride in the United States.

The fan who shared the video boldly gave Van Lith the nickname "Ms. America," with over 26,000 X (formerly Twitter) users liking it in agreement.

Van Lith previously competed for Team USA's 3x3 women's basketball team in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. The 22-year-old will continue her international journey at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Van Lith is a member of Team USA's 2024 Olympics 3x3 squad , which will compete in its first contest on July 30 at 11:30 a.m. ET against Team Germany.

Van Lith has been one of the NCAA's biggest stars the past few seasons. She started her collegiate career with the Louisville Cardinals in 2020, then packed her bags for Baton Rouge to play for the LSU Tigers in 2023. The talented guard averaged 11.6 points and 3.6 assists per game during her sole season at LSU.

After one season with the Tigers, Van Lith entered the transfer portal and ultimately chose to continue her college career with the TCU Horned Frogs.
